Answers

Ahmadinejad on Piers Morgan described Homosexuality is an ugly thing.  He said that we do not deny people their freedom by not accepting their behaviour.

As reported in the Catholic Times. Bishop John Paprocki described people who support same sex marriage as morally complicit in an intrinsic evil. He also said that the salvation of the eternal souls of these morally complicite supporters of marriage equality (me) were in serious jeapardy.

And so, thats right, the one who talked about homosexual copulation was Mike Semmler, The President of The LCA. He did so in his recent report to the SA Pastors conference.

Here is the relevant section from the notes of his report.

Homosexuality: (Romans 1:26-28) The Scriptures do not provide psychological reasons for this state. Same sex people are not created to copulate with each other. It should not surprise us as Christians that something has gone wrong with creation.

The practice did no favours for Greek civilisation around Paul’s time. But the Romans to whom he wrote, could take no consolation that they viewed the practice with disgust. Society always suffers and is undermined not just by homosexuality, but by ‘envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness’

Its a little bit disturbing that what is arguably the least objectionable comment is the one by Ahmadinejad. Really, it should me much easier to distinguish the comments of a raving madmen from those whose job it is to represent Jesus to the world.

Anyway… something a little more positive to finish with.

Have a listen to the voice of a Christian leader whose words certainly do echo what Jesus was on about. Lutheran Bishop Mark Hanson. (Smiley Face!)

And now, your final quiz Question…

Match the thoughts expressed by the 3 Christian leaders above to the stuff Jesus said and did.
